You’re a Search marketing expert who understands how performance media drives leads, sales, and customer acquisition for Retail and eCommerce brands. You bring advanced Search marketing expertise, strong business judgment, and the ability to own both strategy and execution with confidence.

You know that high-performing search isn’t about chasing metrics, it’s about intent-driven structure, disciplined optimization, and aligning spend to revenue and growth outcomes. You think critically about performance, prioritize what moves the business forward, and turn data into clear, actionable recommendations.

You’re comfortable leading client conversations, presenting insights, and standing behind your point of view. While Search marketing is your core strength, you’re curious by nature and open to learning or have experience with adjacent channels like Paid Social and Programmatic, strengthening your ability to contribute to integrated, full-funnel media strategies.

You’re proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated by measurable results, bringing both accountability and collaboration to your work.

What you'll be doing all day:

Search Strategy & Planning (Retail & eCommerce Focus)

• Develop advanced full-funnel media strategies aligned with Retail and eCommerce business goals

• Lead generation and demand capture

• Online sales and conversion optimization

• New customer acquisition and revenue growth

• Architect scalable account structures across brand, non-brand, competitor, shopping-intent, and upper-funnel search.

• Identify and leverage high-intent query categories that drive qualified traffic and conversions.

• Balance efficiency and scale by recommending the right mix of conservative vs. growth-oriented strategies.

• Define KPIs such as CPA, ROAS, conversion rate, AOV, and incremental lift to clearly connect search performance to business outcomes.

Hands-On Execution & Optimization

• Launch, manage, and optimize campaigns across Google Ads, and other relevant platforms, with astrong focus on Search (including Performance Max)

• Own bid strategies, budget pacing, keyword expansion, search term mining, and negative keywordmanagement.

• Lead creative and messaging tests across ad copy, extensions, and landing page alignment(including YouTube).

• Monitor performance daily to ensure pacing accuracy, delivery efficiency, and goal alignment.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure campaign integrity, QA, and tracking accuracy.

Measurement, Automation & Advanced Tactics

• Implement and QA conversion tracking, attribution setups, and tagging frameworks (Google TagManager experience preferred).

• Analyze performance using Google Ads, GA4, and internal reporting tools.

• Leverage automation, scripts, and smart bidding while applying critical thinking to avoid “black box” decision-making.

• Translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations tied directly to revenueor efficiency impact.

AI & Emerging Search Capabilities

• Demonstrate curiosity and working knowledge of AI-driven features within performance media (e.g.,smart bidding, broad match evolution, automation).

• Thoughtfully integrate AI and automation into workflows while maintaining strong strategic oversight.

• Stay ahead of changes in platform ecosystems and proactively bring recommendations to clients.

Client Leadership & Communication

• Act as a trusted SEM advisor, leading search performance discussions with confidence.

• Present strategies, insights, and optimization plans clearly to client stakeholders.

• Defend recommendations with data-driven rationale and business context.

• Contribute to new business pitches, audits, and strategic proposals as the search lead

Collaboration & Team Contribution

• Partner cross-functionally with paid social, programmatic, analytics, creative, and account teams.

• Mentor and support junior team members in search execution and best practices.

• Share ideas that improve how we approach search strategy, testing, and optimization.

• Help shape internal SEM processes, standards, and innovation initiatives.

• Demonstrate a willingness to expand beyond Search by learning and supporting adjacent channels such as Paid Social and Programmatic, contributing to more integrated media strategies and abroader understanding of full-funnel performance.

You’re deeply passionate about Search marketing and motivated by its role in driving measurable business results. You combine advanced technical expertise with strong strategic thinking and are comfortable owning both execution and long-term growth planning.

You understand that great search performance comes from structure, intent, creative relevance, and smart optimization, not just bids and budgets. You stay curious, embrace change in the evolving search landscape, and bring forward ideas that push performance further.

You’re confident working directly with clients, detail-oriented, and comfortable presenting and defending your POV.

What You Bring

• Post-secondary education in Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field

• 4+ years of hands-on performance marketing experience; agency experience preferred

• Deep expertise in Google Ads Search (account architecture, bidding strategies, optimization, testing)

• Strong understanding of full-funnel search strategy and incrementality

• Experience with conversion tracking, attribution, and tagging frameworks

• Proficiency with GA4 and performance analysis

• Strong presentation and client-facing communication skills

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for analysis and reporting

• Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities with autonomy

• Direct client leadership or account ownership experience

• Strong analytical mindset, curiosity, and problem-solving skills

• Google Ads and Analytics certifications

• Experience working with Retail, QSR, or eCommerce clients is an asset

• Experience with cross-channel integration

• Experience working in the Quebec market

• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
